225 English sets across 19 series — updated daily with price and trend data.
The Pokemon TCG has released over 200 English sets since 1999. Most lose value after print runs end. A handful appreciate. Knowing which is which separates a hobby from a strategy.
This directory tracks every set from Base Set through current Scarlet & Violet expansions. Filter by name, jump to a series, or scan the 30-day trend badges to see where the market is moving. Sets with limited print runs and high-demand chase cards tend to hold value longest.

Every set listed here links to a full card breakdown with individual prices, condition-based market data, and historical trends. Price data refreshes daily from live marketplace sources.
Set size and print run determine long-term value. Large sets with wide distribution typically see prices compress within 12-18 months. Smaller specialty sets — Hidden Fates, Shining Legends, Prismatic Evolutions — hold premiums longer because supply is constrained from release day.
The 30-day trend badge on each set card shows the average price movement across all cards in that set. A positive trend means average card values are climbing. Use this alongside individual card data to identify sets where demand is building before prices spike.
As of 2026, there are over 200 officially released English-language Pokemon TCG sets, spanning from the original Base Set (1999) through the current Scarlet & Violet series. Including Japanese exclusives, promos, and special collections, the total exceeds 800.
First-edition WOTC sets (Base Set, Neo Genesis, Neo Destiny) hold the highest long-term value. In modern sets, Hidden Fates, Evolving Skies, and Prismatic Evolutions command the strongest sealed premiums due to limited print runs and high-demand chase cards.
The Pokemon Company releases 4-6 major English sets per year, roughly quarterly. Japan receives sets 3-6 months earlier, which investors use to predict English demand and price direction before release.
The terms are interchangeable. Both refer to a discrete release with its own card numbering and set symbol. Main sets typically contain 150-300 cards, while specialty sets (Hidden Fates, Shining Legends) have smaller card counts and often more limited print runs.
PokeInvesting tracks daily price data for every English Pokemon TCG set. Each set page shows individual card prices, 30-day trends, and market depth. Use the directory above to navigate to any set.
